Course Details

The course runs point-to-point from Gitaru near Kikuyu town down through the Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Naivasha - a predominantly downhill road route with dramatic scenery throughout. A 5pm cut-off applies, so choose your distance realistically. Note: you will receive the medal for the distance you register for, not the furthest distance you complete on the day.

Getting There

The race starts at Shell Petrol Station, Gitaru, near Sigona Golf Club, approximately 20km west of Nairobi CBD along Waiyaki Way. The finish is at Lake Naivasha, roughly 90km from Nairobi. Arrange return transport from Naivasha in advance; most runners sort a lift or use matatus back to Nairobi after the race.
