Many children in Wamunyu still don't have enough books - without books, learning is harder; without learning, opportunities are limited; and without opportunities, bright futures are lost. Every step of this run helps put a book in a child's hand and supports literacy in Wamunyu.

Course Details
The race starts and finishes at Wamunyu ABC Primary School in Wamunyu Town, Machakos County, with three distances available: 5km, 10km, and 21km. A separate, inclusive fun run category is offered specifically for children with special needs.
Getting There
Wamunyu is approximately 105km from Nairobi CBD, around 2 hours 9 minutes via the Nairobi Expressway/A8 and the C97 (this route includes tolls). From the CBD, take Haile Selassie Avenue to Uhuru Highway/A104, merge onto the Nairobi Expressway/A8, continue on Mombasa Road/A104/A8 toward Machakos, then take the Machakos-Kitui Road/C97 through Yathui towards Wamunyu, where the school is on the left.
