Antony 'Matiang'i' Kuria Memorial ITT

A 40km individual time trial held in memory of Antony Kuria (Matiang'i), a promising young cyclist under the VeloNos stable who passed away in a road accident in 2021. Riders race against the clock from Sasini Tea & Coffee Factory in Ndumberi with 500m of elevation.

Course Details

A 40km ITT starting and finishing at Sasini Tea & Coffee Factory in Ndumberi, Kiambu. The format means riders set off individually at intervals and race against the clock. The route covers the hilly terrain around Ndumberi with 500m of elevation gain - expect a mix of climbs and fast descents on tarmac roads through Kiambu's tea and coffee country. Road bikes are recommended. No entries are accepted on the day itself - late entry closes on 13th June.

Getting There

Sasini Tea & Coffee Factory is in Ndumberi, Kiambu County, approximately 20km north of Nairobi CBD. Take the Kiambu Road north through Kiambu town toward Ndumberi. Drive time from central Nairobi is around 30 to 40 minutes.
