Course Details

The race starts and finishes at Iten Manashah Resort. The Elite category covers 105km with 1,350m of elevation gain, the Recreational category covers 80km with 1,000m, and the Family Fun category covers 40km with 500m. The terrain is classic Iten highland road cycling - rolling hills at altitude with significant climbing on the Elite route. Road bikes are appropriate for all categories.

Getting There

Iten Manashah Resort is in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County, on the Iten - Kapkoi Road. From Nairobi CBD, the fastest route is via Murang'a Road, Limuru Road, and the A104/Nairobi-Uganda Road through Nakuru, then the Nakuru-Sigor Road/B4 and C55 to Eldama Ravine, continuing on the B53 into Elgeyo Marakwet County to Iten - approximately 337km and around 7 hours depending on traffic.

🌍Sule Kangangi was one of Kenya's most celebrated gravel and road cyclists, known for his role in growing the sport across East Africa before his death in 2022.
🌍Iten sits at around 2,400m above sea level and is world-renowned as a high-altitude training base for elite distance runners, and increasingly for cyclists.
