Do I need to register in advance?

No registration needed. Just show up at the meeting point by 7:00 AM with a bike and helmet. Follow their Facebook page for the weekly location announcement.

Is there an entry fee?

Completely free. This is a community ride, not a race or organised event with fees.

The rides are MTB-focused, so a mountain bike is strongly recommended. Other bike types are welcome but will struggle on the off-road sections.

Is a helmet mandatory?

Yes. A helmet is required for all riders - no exceptions.

Absolutely. The group is welcoming to all fitness levels. That said, distances can reach 100km, so some base fitness helps. You can always turn back early if needed.

Course Details

Routes vary each Sunday and are announced via the group's Facebook page closer to the ride date. Expect a mix of tarmac connectors and off-road trails depending on the area. Distances typically range around 50–100km. Terrain and elevation vary by location so check the weekly post before heading out.

Getting There

The ride meets at Ruiru Bypass Main Stage Bus Stop, in Ruiru northeast of Nairobi. Take the Thika Road (A2) to Ruiru. The meeting point is approximately 30km from central Nairobi.
