Course Details

The course runs through the savanna and bush around Dol Dol in Laikipia, on a mix of dirt roads and tracks. The terrain is relatively flat to gently rolling but the altitude and heat in this area can be demanding. Expect dust, sun exposure, and a remote race experience.

Getting There

Dol Dol is in Laikipia County, approximately 200km north of Nairobi via Nanyuki. The drive takes around 3 to 4 hours. Nanyuki (about 50km away) is the nearest town with accommodation and services.

Did You Know?

🌍Laikipia County is home to one of the highest densities of wildlife outside a national park in Kenya, including elephants, lions, wild dogs, and both black and white rhinos.
🌍The area around Dol Dol sits at around 1,600m to 1,700m, giving it a warm but not oppressive climate on most race days.
