How does the relay format work?

Each team consists of exactly 6 runners. One team captain registers on behalf of the whole team. Each runner covers approximately 7km in sequence, with the baton passed between legs, for a combined team total of 42km.

What if I don't have a team?

The organiser will help connect solo runners with other individuals looking for a team. Reach out via the registration page or @fitnesswithdavid on Instagram.

What is the registration deadline?

The deadline is 31st March 2026, or earlier if all 300 team slots are taken. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for teams registered by 25th March 2026.

Registration is by team captain only. The captain submits team member photos, the team name, and the team slogan as part of the registration process.

Course Details

The route runs along the Southern Bypass. Roads are closed for the event. Each of the 6 runners covers approximately 7km in sequence for a total team distance of 42km.

Getting There

Carnivore Grounds is on Lang'ata Road in Nairobi, one of the city's most well-known event venues, opposite Uhuru Gardens. Assembly is at 6AM. Ample parking is available on site and the venue is well served by matatus along Lang'ata Road.
