How does the relay format work?

Teams consist of exactly 10 participants. Each member runs 4km before handing the baton to the next runner, for a combined team total of 40km. At least 2 of the 10 members must be women.

What happens if a team member can't complete their 4km?

Failure by any team member to complete their 4km leg results in disqualification of the entire team.

What is included in the entry fee?

All entries include access to all on-the-day activities, mbuzi (goat roast), heated swimming pool access, and fun activities for everyone.

Yes. Hillpark Gym members pay KES 1,500 for individual entry instead of the standard KES 2,000.

Course Details

The relay covers 40km in total, split equally across 10 team members at 4km each. Failure by any member to complete their 4km leg results in team disqualification. Individual runners cover 10km; cycling participants cover 21km. All categories start at 7:00 AM from Hillpark Hotel.

Getting There

Hillpark Hotel is on Lower Hill Road in Upper Hill, approximately 4.6km from Nairobi CBD. From the CBD take Uhuru Highway south, turn onto Bunyala Road, then follow Upper Hill Road to Lower Hill Road. The hotel is well signposted with parking available on site.
