Four categories are available: the 21km Half Marathon and 10km for more competitive runners, the 5km for a moderate challenge, and the 2.5km CEO Race aimed at CEOs and senior executives across the insurance industry.

How does tree sponsorship work?

Tree sponsorship is a separate, optional contribution of any amount, on top of the standard KES 2,500 race registration fee, supporting the event's goal of planting a million trees.

How do I register and pay?

Register via the official Google Form, then pay via M-Pesa Paybill 261069, Account: Your Name.

Run for the Trees - A Million Trees Campaign

An industry-wide environmental conservation drive aiming to plant a million trees, framed as 'the first mile towards a million.' Participants can sponsor a tree for any amount in addition to their race entry, channeling the insurance sector's expertise in pricing climate risk into direct environmental action.

Course Details

The race takes place within Karura Forest, one of Nairobi's largest urban forests, on a mix of forest trails and paths. Four distances are on offer, from the 2.5km CEO Race up to the 21km Half Marathon.

Getting There

Karura Forest is approximately 6.9km from Nairobi CBD via Murang'a Road, around 18 minutes depending on traffic. From the CBD, take Tom Mboya Street to Murang'a Road, continue onto Thika Road/A2 to Mau Park Road, then take Old Kiambu Road to the forest entrance. Note this route includes a stretch with restricted or private road usage.
