What's the difference between the Elite Race and the Fun Run?

Both share the same 10km course and starting line at TechRun Arena. The Elite Road Race (KES 1,000) is the competitive category, while the Fun Run (KES 2,500, or KES 2,000 for discounted CF254 participants) is open to all fitness levels.

What happens after race day?

Race day (29th November) is followed by the TechRun Awards Ceremony and a 2nd Edition Overview session, then two further days (30th November - 1st December) of TechRun Summit sessions covering the future of work, technology, and artificial intelligence.

Can I speak at the summit?

Yes. TechRun has an open call for speakers - technology leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, practitioners, and industry experts with practical insights on the future of work, technology, innovation, and AI are welcome to apply.

CF254 participants are eligible for a discounted Fun Run entry fee of KES 2,000, instead of the standard KES 2,500.

Course Details

The 10km Elite Road Race and 10km Fun Run share one starting line at TAC Center (Central Primary Grounds), Eldoret, running from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the opening day.

Getting There

TAC Center (Central Primary Grounds) is in Sigot, Eldoret, close to Rupa's Mall - about 2.3km away via Eldoret-Malaba Road/Nairobi-Uganda Road, roughly 7 minutes depending on traffic. From Nairobi, Eldoret is approximately 311km away, around 6 hours 44 minutes via Uhuru Highway/A104 and the Nairobi-Uganda Road/A8.
