Getting There
Mfangano Island is reached by boat from Mbita Point on Lake Victoria. Mbita is approximately 420km west of Nairobi via Kisumu, about a 6 to 7 hour drive. From Mbita, boats to Mfangano take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Most participants travel the day before and stay overnight on the island or in Mbita.
