Course Details

The 5km runs entirely along the beach. The 10km and 21km combine oceanfront stretches with routes through Watamu's picturesque seaside villages before finishing with a descent along the bluff back to Turtle Bay Beach Resort. The course is notably flat, with a max elevation of only about 20m, making it fast and beginner-friendly while still offering dramatic coastal scenery.

Getting There

Watamu is on the Kenyan coast, roughly 503km (about 9.5 hours by road) from Nairobi CBD via Mombasa Road and the C103, a route that includes tolls. Most travellers fly into Malindi or Mombasa and drive the remaining distance, cutting travel time significantly. From Mombasa, Watamu is around 1.5 hours north along the coastal highway. The event is based at Turtle Bay Beach Resort.
