NAIROBI, Kenya — This Sunday, July 27, runners across Nairobi will converge at USIU-Africa for the university's annual half marathon.
The event includes a 21km race, 10km race, and a 5km fun run. There are also team categories for companies and executives. Proceeds go to the university’s Financial Aid Program.

The event features five categories designed to accommodate different fitness levels and group participation:
Individual Races:

- 10KM Race (Male & Female) - KES 1,500

Route and Logistics
The race begins at USIU-Africa Gate C, with different finish points depending on your category. The 21km, 10km, and corporate challenges conclude at Gate D, while the 5km fun run circles back to Gate C.
Participants can collect their race kits in the days leading up to the event, with collection details to be shared closer to the date. If you can't pick up your kit personally, someone else can collect it using your confirmation slip and their ID.
This event comes just weeks after the impressive Nairobi City Marathon 2025, which drew 16,000 participants from 75 countries. The success of that event, now in its fourth year, demonstrates the growing appetite for quality running events in the capital.
Through the Miles for Education Initiative, every registration fee will contribute to USIU-Africa's Financial Aid Program, helping students who might otherwise struggle to afford higher education.
