Course Details
A 2-stage road race through the Aberdare highlands. Stage 1 on 31st May covers 35km (Recreational) or 57km (Elite) with significant climbing. Stage 2 on 1st June is the harder day - 40km or 64km with up to 1,700m of elevation. Expect mountain roads, cool conditions, and the kind of climbs that justify the views. Road bikes are appropriate.
Getting There
Aberdares Cottages & Fishing Lodge is in the Aberdare highlands, accessible from Nairobi via Nyeri or Murang'a. Drive time from Nairobi is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Accommodation is available on-site - contact 0798 581 212 or 0721 646 613 for hotel bookings.

Kaptagat Cycling Challenge Results 2026: Masika, Larot Win as Visually Impaired Cyclist Claims Para Title
Kendra Masika and Lawrence Larot were crowned elite champions of the fourth Kaptagat Cycling Challenge, each earning Ksh 200,000.
