Course Details

The Classic route covers 120km with 3,000m of elevation gain, making it one of the more challenging road events on the Kenyan calendar. The Lite option at 25km and 1,400m elevation provides a more accessible but still demanding introduction to Rift Valley riding. Both routes start at Stabex, Biretwo at 0800hrs. Expect exposed Rift Valley terrain with long climbs and open descents.

Getting There

Biretwo is in the Kerio Valley area of the Rift Valley, accessible from Eldoret or Iten via the Kerio Valley road. The Kerio View Hotel is a well-known landmark in the area and a useful navigation reference. Drive time from Nairobi is approximately 4 to 5 hours.
