Course Details

The cycling leg covers approximately 450km over 6 days from the lower Kilimanjaro slopes through Tanzania and Kenya to the coast. The route descends over 6,000m from altitude, passing through varied terrain including highland roads, savanna, and coastal lowlands. The trekking leg ascends Mount Kenya to approximately 4,000m before the cycling begins.

Getting There

The expedition starts at Marangu Hotel in Tanzania, near Kilimanjaro. Most participants fly into Nairobi and connect to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) the day before. Full logistics coordination is provided by Rift Valley Odyssey and Xplore.
