Course Details

A 45km critical mass style ride starting and finishing at Machakos Peoples Park. As with most critical mass events, riders move together as a group through Machakos town and surrounds, prioritising visibility and safety in numbers over speed. Any bike type is welcome. Alongside the ride, the day includes tree planting, road safety awareness activities, youth climate engagement, and wellness and fitness sessions.

Getting There

Machakos Peoples Park is in central Machakos, approximately 65km southeast of Nairobi via the Nairobi Expressway and Mombasa Road, continuing on the Chumvi-Machakos-Kitui Road (C97). The drive takes around 1 hour 20 minutes from Nairobi CBD, noting that the expressway route has tolls.
