Course Details

The race is on the slopes of Mt. Kenya, with the start and finish at Mt Kenya Wildlife Conservancy. The routes combine fast, smooth and dusty gravel roads around Nanyuki, scenic farmland tracks and forest-lined trails, with views of the mountain throughout. The front of the race is expected to be fast and competitive, while the shorter routes offer a more scenic ride. There are four options: the Kids 5km (a shorter loop in the conservancy with one hill), the Chui Route (11km, one lap of the conservancy), the Duma Route (50km) and the Simba Route (90km). All routes are clearly marked, and GPX files are shared on registration. The 90km starts at 8:00 AM, the 50km at 8:10 AM and the 11km at 8:20 AM.

Getting There

Mt Kenya Wildlife Conservancy is near Nanyuki, about 200km north of Nairobi CBD. The drive takes roughly 3.5 hours via Thika Road and the A2, followed by a final drive of about 9.6km (around 20 minutes) to the conservancy.
