Event Highlights
Race through the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, one of Kenya's most important coastal forests
Based in Watamu on the Indian Ocean coast
Organised by A Rocha Kenya supporting forest conservation
Single race and family fun options available
Course Details
The course runs through Arabuko-Sokoke Forest on forest tracks and trails. The terrain is flat to gently rolling as expected on the coast, but the sandy and rooted forest tracks make it more technical than the gradient suggests. A hardtail or full suspension MTB is strongly recommended.
Getting There
Watamu is on the Kenyan coast approximately 120km north of Mombasa, or a 6 to 7 hour drive from Nairobi. The nearest airports are Malindi (15km) and Mombasa's Moi International Airport (120km). Many participants fly to Malindi from Nairobi's Wilson Airport.
