Your next off-road adventure is calling - a race through the wilds of Lukenya, Machakos County. Choose between off-road cycling and trail running, with distances for adults, kids, and ultra-distance runners. Group rates available for cycling teams of 5 or more.

Course Details

The race is based at Lukenya Academy Campsite within the Lukenya Hills Conservancy. Cyclists choose between the 50km Challenger, 20km Adventure, or 10km Kids route, while trail runners have their own parallel 50km Ultra, 20km, and 10km distances. The terrain is rocky, off-road savanna and hill terrain typical of Lukenya - a hardtail or full suspension MTB is recommended for the cycling distances. Briefing is at 8:00 AM with race start at 8:30 AM.

Getting There

Lukenya Hills Conservancy is in Machakos County, approximately 43 to 46km southeast of Nairobi CBD via the Nairobi Expressway and Mombasa Road, or via the A104 and Mombasa Road/A109. Drive time from central Nairobi is around 50 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic and route chosen.
