Course Details

The 21km half marathon winds through the rugged trails of Mt. Kilimambogo, featuring steep ascents, rocky paths, and forested sections with breathtaking views across the mountain slopes, savannah plains, and surrounding wildlife conservancies. The 5km Walk Run is accessible to all ages and fitness levels on a gentler route. Both distances start at 8:00 AM from Ol Donyo Sabuk town off the Thika–Garissa Road.

Getting There

Ol Donyo Sabuk is approximately 65km northeast of Nairobi along the Thika–Garissa Road. The drive from Nairobi takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Free return transport is available from Nairobi CBD; contact the organiser for the pick-up point and time. Self-drive participants should head out via Thika Road and follow signs toward Ol Donyo Sabuk town.
