How long does the race typically last?

It depends entirely on the field. The race ends when only one runner remains. Events like this can run anywhere from 6 to 24 hours or more depending on conditions and participants.

Bring enough food and drink to sustain yourself through multiple hours of running. A chair and warm layers for the night are also strongly recommended. Check with the organiser for a full kit list.

Course Details

Competitors must complete a 6.5km loop within each hour. Anyone who fails to finish the loop before the next hour begins is eliminated. The race continues until only one runner remains. Pacing in the early hours is critical as the loops accumulate quickly.

Kefri Zambezi is located in the Zambezi area of northwest Nairobi. The venue has parking available. Check with the organiser for precise directions closer to the event date.
