A scenic run through the Kiambu Coffee and Tea Estates, courtesy of Gatatha Farmers Co. Ltd. More than just a fitness event, the Sahihi Green Run is a platform for social and environmental change. Proceeds support university education grants for bright, needy students, permaculture and vertical gardening training, fruit tree planting, and Sitatunga antelope conservation efforts.

Course Details

The course runs through the coffee and tea estates of Kiambu on the Limuru Road corridor, starting and finishing at Cianda High School (also referred to as All Saints High School, Cianda). The terrain is typical of the Kiambu highlands - rolling green farmland with cool conditions ideal for running. The 5km and 10km are open to walkers and runners alike; the 21km is a run-only category. A 'Beyond 21km' optional distance is available for those who want to push further.

Getting There

Cianda High School is on Kiambu Limuru Road, approximately 25km north of Nairobi CBD via Kiambu Road or the Northern Bypass. The drive from Nairobi takes around 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. Arrive by 6:30 AM for the stretch and race briefing.
