Course Details

The course starts at Strathmore University Sports Complex. Multiple distances are available. The university sits in the Madaraka area of Nairobi at approximately 1,700m above sea level, so expect the altitude to affect pace if you are arriving from lower elevations.

Getting There

Strathmore University is in the Madaraka area off Ole Sangale Road, approximately 5km south of Nairobi CBD. It is accessible by matatu from various parts of the city. Parking on campus is limited on race day so public transport or dropping off nearby is recommended.

🌍Strathmore University currently provides financial aid to around 15% of its undergraduate students, with an ambition to raise that figure to 25%.
🌍Over its history, Strathmore has disbursed more than KES 1 billion in scholarship support across all its programmes.
🌍The 2025 edition drew 1,655 participants and raised KES 7,200,000, the highest single-year total to date.
