Course Details

A 2-day MTB challenge based at Alem Resort in Tawa, Machakos County. Day 1 covers 60km with 2,000m of elevation gain, and Day 2 covers 50km with the same 2,000m of climbing - meaning Day 2 is proportionally the tougher day. Expect the punchy, technical hills typical of Machakos terrain. A hardtail or full suspension MTB is recommended.

Getting There

Alem Resort (Tawa) is in Machakos County, roughly 95.9km from Nairobi CBD via Mombasa Road and Makutano-Kitui Road (C97) - about 1hr 50min with tolls. The route passes through Machakos town before turning off toward Kavumbu and Tawa on smaller roads.
