Course Details

The route heads out from Ruiru through Kenol, Maragua, Gakoigo, Kiangage, Mukuyu, and Sabasaba, looping back through Kenol and home - a 150km round trip. The pace is explicitly not beginner friendly, so riders should have solid base fitness and multi-hour endurance riding experience. A road or gravel bike is appropriate. Riders should carry their own repair kit and hydration as no formal support is mentioned.

Getting There

Spur Mall is at Exit 12/13 on the Thika Superhighway in Ruiru. From Nairobi CBD, take Moi Avenue and Kipande Road to the Embu-Nairobi Highway/A2, then follow it to Ruiru, taking Exit 13. The drive is approximately 26.5km and takes around 24 to 51 minutes depending on traffic on Murang'a Road.
