Loop Safari Gravel Race - Vipingo Ridge
Saturday, 29 August 2026 · 8:30 AM
The Swahili Coast race offers participants the chance to explore the enchanting Kenyan coast on fast gravel roads with stunning Indian Ocean views. The course winds through farmland and palm-lined coastal trails, cooled by the ocean breeze - a breezy, fun contrast for riders used to the highlands. Doubles as the Kenya National Gravel Championship for Elite (120km) and Youth (60km) categories.

The course runs on fast gravel roads along the Kenyan coast near Vipingo Ridge, with four distance options: Kids Circuit, Green Route (20km), Orange Route (60km, Kenya National Gravel Championship Youth), and Black Route (120km, Kenya National Gravel Championship Elite). The terrain is coastal farmland and palm-lined trails, flatter than Kenya's highland gravel races but exposed to sun and ocean breeze. A gravel bike is appropriate for all distances. Helmets are mandatory - no participant is allowed to race without one. Last year's edition (2025) started the 120km Men's race promptly at 8:00 AM with no late starters permitted past 8:40 AM; expect similarly strict timing in 2026.
