The Belgut Half Marathon 2026

The Belgut Half Marathon runs through the tea plantations of Kericho County, 'the Tea Capital of the World'. Three race categories bring together over 5,000 runners for a charity run supporting the community. Organised with backing from major sponsors including Equity, Coca-Cola Kenya, KenGen, and Kenya Ports Authority.

Course Details
The race starts and finishes in Belgut, Kericho County, winding through the region's tea plantations. Three distinct start points are used: Taplotin Shopping Centre (21K), Kamaso Secondary School (10K), and Nyabangi Shopping Centre (5K), with shuttle pick-up points at Kabianga Shopping Centre for the 10K and 5K categories.
Getting There
Belgut, Kericho County is approximately 291km from Nairobi's CBD via the B3 route (about 5 hr 30 min), or 251km via Kaplong - Litein Rd/C23 through Bomet County (about 4 hr 35 min). The route follows Uhuru Highway/A104 and the Nairobi Expressway (toll road) through Nairobi - Nakuru Highway, then Kamandura - Mai Mahiu - Narok Road/B3 toward Kaplong, before joining C23 into Kericho County.
