Chemususu Dam Half Marathon 2026

An annual conservation half marathon in Baringo County, run by an environmental conservation organization dedicated to protecting the Lembus Forests within Kenya's Mau Forest Complex. Proceeds fund forest restoration, watershed protection, biodiversity conservation, youth talent development, community health initiatives, and infrastructure projects like classrooms and water pipelines. Theme: Run To Conserve.

Course Details
The race is held around Chemususu Dam in Baringo County, within the Lembus Forest landscape - a biodiversity-rich water catchment area that forms the source of the Kerio and Perkerra Rivers in the Rift Valley Basin.
Getting There
Chemususu Dam is approximately 234km from Nairobi's CBD via Uhuru Highway/A104 and the Nairobi-Uganda Road, taking around 5 hr 12 min (toll road). The route passes through Nakuru, then follows Nakuru-Sigor Rd/B4 and C55 toward Eldama Ravine, before a final short stretch to the dam.
