Course Details
The route runs point-to-point from Mt. Kenya's Naromoru Gate to the Aberdares' Wandare Gate in Nyeri County, crossing the high-altitude terrain between the two mountain ranges. With distances up to 80km and a 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM window, this is a serious ultra-distance undertaking - runners should be experienced with long-distance trail or road ultras and prepared for altitude, exposure, and a long day on course.
Getting There
The start point is at Mt. Kenya's Naromoru Gate, Nyeri County, with the race finishing at the Aberdares' Wandare Gate. Nyeri town is roughly 150km north of Nairobi via the A2 highway through Karatina, around a 2.5 to 3 hour drive. Runners will need transport arrangements between the start and finish points, or should coordinate with Urban Swaras for logistics.
